Pluperfect

I read the most beautifully written post today by Tricia at The Domestic Fringe. She expressed perfectly what all of us should be doing. I'm not going to tell y'all what it was about...I want you to go over and read it for yourself. It's not very long, but it succinctly says everything we (especially women) need to strive for in our lives. Tricia is a young mother whose age belies her wisdom. Please take a moment and go and read her powerful words and I promise you...this time you really will thank me.Her post also served as a reminder that I forgot one key ingredient in my recipe for THE PERFECT WOMAN in my previous post. I'd like to take this opportunity to correct that error.

She would also need the faith to walk in God's will, taking each day as the present it is from God. Asking no more than that one day...trusting God with her tomorrows. I had the supreme honor of seeing that walk this past year and I thank God every day for letting that woman be my daughter, Jennifer. With God's blessing, I think I may have actually gave birth to a near PERFECT WOMAN for real...Thank you Lord.

I have a really big thank you post coming up, but that's for another night! In the meantime, please read Tricia's post and let her know she should be writing pieces like this for us on a weekly basis.

Boy, could I relate to Tricia's post...story of my life, in some respects. It's something I still struggle with, that battle to trust God. My head knows that He knows best, but my stupid, fearful heart will not allow Him to do His job. Pray for me.

Kudos to you for raising such a fine young woman! Must be in the genes!

Debbie, the words you wrote about Jennifer brought tears to my eyes. I think your family has generations of amazing women with a little one who has already left quite the large mark on this world. You are blessed for sure!

Send me your address before I eat all this chocolate candy laying around my house. ;-) It's not safe to it leave it here for long!

Good Morning Deb~

That was a wonderful post to read first thing in the morning...Thank you for taking me there. It must have been a sign that I needed to read it!

And of course you didn't "forget" the one key ingredient in the Perfect Woman...I read in between the lines the whole time and the moral of the "story" was just screaming Jenn's name!!!

See? I'm so smart!!!
or...
You are just the BEST author!!!
(I think it's the latter of the two)

Oh what a sweet tribute to your daughter and the strength I'm sure she never realized just how much she had. And what about her mom, pretty spectacular woman too, don't ya think! You my friend (and CD too) were the ones that initially laid that foundation for her.

I too can relate to Tricia's post yesterday - and I'm still thinking about my "comment" because I was skeert it I started typing to her yesterday she would have had a small novel to read. LOLOLOLOL

I'm thinking Jenn is someone DEFINITELY worthy of the "perfect" title... I admire her for everything she's been through, done and yet - she's still so fun and full of life and faith and creativity! I think you did good mama - she got it from you!

Now, I'm going to resume my toe tappin' to your music... thank you.

You are right...as always! :) That was a beautifully written, heart felt post! I needed to read those words right now...to put my doubts and fears in the right frame of mind! Thanks, Debbie! Lovely pics of Jenn. I know you are proud! You should be. You and Jenn and the entire family just made it through a huge test of faith and you passed with flying colors and got this beautiful baby girl to boot! Love you, girl!

Jenn is an amazing woman, that speaks volumes for her mama! Going through what you all have been through is a walk thru the fire, but you all emerged without even the smell of smoke! I loved Tricia's post, but I couldn't find a way to comment? She said it so well, how so very many of us have felt. Oh and I love your "new look"!
hugs and love,
Debra
