Hello...My Name Is Debbie

Thank goodness...Jenn came to my rescue with a loaner laptop. I have been so lost without a computer. It's amazing how addicted I have become! It's shameful...just down right pitiful...that my life should revolve around a screen...but from the looks of my shaky hands this past week...it does.

This has truly been a wake up call for me. There's a sun shining outside...the days are pleasant and there's mischief to be made. I shouldn't be sitting inside at a desk. I should be outside enjoying the gift of another day. I have a birthday fast approaching and I'm not going to waste another minute (not that y'all are a waste of time..au contraire) of these beautiful May days, so y'all know what? That's just what I'm going to do. Since I'm still learning how to use this fool thing (no photos yet), I'm going to play with it some, but I'm going to play outside more! As a matter of fact, I played all day yesterday by going to the HEAP show in the morning followed by Gina and Portia's show in the evening. Y'all...I had a blast. I was tired, but it was a pleasant tired. I think I want so more of that PLEASE!

If my posts seem sparse from time to time...you now know why (besides, y'all were too busy divving up Cat Daddy to really miss me). I'm outside playing with my peeps and the squirrels instead of being one!

Look out world...SHE'S BACK!!!

After what seemed like the longest winter on record, outside is the only place I want to be now. I'm planting, watering and even weeding. Summer is just too short and I can't seem to think of writing anything worth reading anyway.

So sorry I missed you at HEAP and am really sorry I didn't get to make it to Gina & Portia's sale. It looked like a good one. Have fun playing in the yard and so glad you are back, even if there are no pics. Happy early Mother's Day!

If you'll be playing outside, then remember what Momma always used to say...

Put ya sunscreen on

Don't talk to strangers

Look both ways before you cross the street

Play nice

and...be back home before dark.

Along with your birthday, I hope you have a Happy Mother's Day weekend!!!!

Love You!!!

Welcome back. As you know, I've had my share of computer 'issues', and it's a pain. But yeah, it can be addictive. Have a fantastic Mother's Day, and did I read birthday too? Double Happy then.

Debbie, You've been missed! BUT I do think from time to time we all need a computer to be "sick" so we can remember what life is like without it and find beauty in life...I know for me I hated not blogging and felt down right anxious for not, but boy did I find I had a lot of time for other beautiful things in my life...guess it's called balance....Missed you
Gale

Whew! Having your computer go on the "fritz" is not fun, BUT at least "it" picked a good time. Sunny somewhat cool days are always such a treat in Texas. Have fun out there!

Debbie...
I know what you mean about the addiction! I'm a techno nut who likes my 'toys'. I had to stop myself before I bought an ipad.
When my PC was down I was antsy and pacing until it came back fixed. It took forever and I was jerky and jumpy every minute it was gone. I found it difficult to watch TV at night without my fingers moving and my eyes jumping between this screen and that one and having to either pause the TV or rewind because I got so engrossed in what I was reading that I ignored my 'other' screen!
Thank God I shelled out the extra cash for a rush job and got it back the next day...:-)

Hope all is well otherwise and have a Happy MOTHER'S DAY!

Yo, Trashy Mamacita! I feel your pain and pull to be out and about and then blogging. I think we are all in the same place right now. Miss you and hope you are staying one step ahead of the law....xoxooxoxox lulu

Hey Deb
Have a great time and I hear you! I have been under the weather here lately and couldn't do much including computer time and I think I went through withdrawal. I need to get more done around here...

I am learning to limit computer time. Those squirrels need love too you know. I had to rearrange my sidebar because I kept missing your posts! Now I can find you anytime I want. So don't disappear completely. But do enjoy the outside world please...

Glad you've been having some fun lately, Deb. Hope the computer problems get rectified soon. This is modern life now, and it's great, as long as you don't forget to walk away from it to go play with the squirrels, from time to time... :)

Oooh False Victim sounds like a great "summer read" - my favorite part of summer - lounging by the pool, reading a good book! Thanks for the recommendation!!!
