The Hardest Post

These are difficult words to write. I have to step away for a while. My darling daughter Jennifer is expecting her first baby in July, but has been diagnosed with Preeclampsia. She was rushed into the hospital this afternoon for admittance. Unfortunately the only real treatment is delivery. She is 21 weeks along. Her OB/GYN is going to try and control her blood pressure to gain more time for the baby and she is receiving magnesium sulfate to protect her. She will be in the hospital until delivery and I will be with her and her husband. I will try to add updates as I have time, but please add her, Roby and us to your prayer lists. She wants this baby so much and I want them both safe. Thank you.

Debbie, I saw this at about 1 A.M., but was unable to add a comment. But you all have been in my prayers since then and will continue to be. What hospital is Jennifer at? Is there anything I can do? May you and your family know God's peace during this difficult time.

Debbie:

Take a deep breath and let's look at all the positive things. That helps. First of all, the doctors diagnosed the problem and have Jennifer where she needs to be...in bed, receiving medication and supervision by professionals. Second, you are lucky enough to be there with her! There is nothing like the loving care of Mom! Third, your blogging family is sending up prayers for the care and well-being of Jennifer, Roby, the baby, Cat Daddy and YOU!

I am praying not only for the health of mother and baby, but I am praying for God to give you strength! I know you are probably the glue that holds you all together...and glue needs to be strong under pressure! So I am praying for you to have strength, composure and faith. I pray that God gives you peace of mind and the calmness needed to reassure your lovely daughter.

Debbie, just remember that we are all Steel Magnolias!

When I delivered my first baby, all I wanted was my Momma. Not my husband, my Momma. I puked all over her during labor. She changed clothes. I swore at her. She smiled and reassured me. Your daughter is SOOO lucky to have her Momma there. One can handle almost anything with their Momma there. Your presence will mean so much. Our prayers will try to lift up up as best we can...becuase she sur eneeds her Momma to be so strong...MAKE US MOMMAS PROUD, girlfriend :)

Debbie.. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know how hard it is to go through this with your daughter. My #2 daughter lost her first baby at about 18-weeks. It was a very difficult time for us all. I pray that your family does not have to go though that pain. take care. God Bless. Dixie

Debbie: Glad you can feel the prayers! Its all we can do right now. You just keep those nursed on their toes and make sure they take the best care of mother and baby! Hope you are getting a little rest...I know you are not...and I wouldn't be either! However, I did find out that I was much better for Lurch during his surgery if I went to bed at night instead of setting up around the clock. You do what you need to do and we will keep praying for you! Let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do to help!
