Turning 100 Never Looked So Good!

Finally the big day is here. I'm temporarily blinded by all the flashing bulbs. Give me just a moment to catch my breath. I'm so excited y'all came by to join me in my 100th Post/Birthday Celebration/Giveaway party. All of my A-List attenders step this way. It's not too late to get your reservations to the VIP Room. Just let me know you will be posting a photo of you, your date or both today and I will see that Jacques gives you one of the best bottles of champagne on the house.
If you look to the right at my special list I created, you will see all the famous people attending today's soiree. Please go and see them and leave a comment about how Fab U Lous they look. Do you have any idea how hard it is to squeeze into these size 0 dresses when you are a tad bit bigger? Well believe me, it isn't easy to be this beautiful. It takes a village. So go, tell them how much you appreciate their beauty and their sense of humor. I know I am.
The band, Elvis of course, will be getting ready to kick off just as soon as everyone arrives. In the meantime, click my music list for some of my favorites. One just cannot get in the right party frame of mind without music. Go, enjoy!
Feel free to dance the night away. Feel like dancing in bare feet? Be my guest. I want you to have a wonderful time and as long as all you take off are your shoes, we will get along just fine!
My own personal chef(all us big time socialite types have one of these, doncha know?) will be on hand all day and night to whip up whatever you feel like indulging in. Again, I feel the need to remind some of you to keep it clean. We run a high class joint here!
A little caviar for noshing. No expense has been spared here. Nothing but the best for my friends. And you know what they say about caviar? YUCK!!!!!
For some of my friends in the know, I've included Cat Daddy's favorite.....HANGDOWN!
As a reminder of what my giveaway is for commenting....take a look! I picked 7 of my favorite things (Helen Louise added Elvis, of course) to reward of you for reading and laughing and crying with me. (Before you ask-no, the props are not part of the giveaway!) Y'all are just the greatest!
I know y'all are being polite at looking at these items, when all you really care about winning is...........
THIS!!!!! Today may be Friday the 13th, but tonight at midnight it will be one of y'alls' lucky day. I do so want to thank Laurie for making this beautiful piece complete with a cherub just in time for Valentine's Day.
So what do you think so far? Pretty cool, right? Just remember to leave a comment before midnight tonight for your last chance to win. The winner will be announced tomorrow. Oh my goodness! Is that the vacuum cleaner and mop left out? It is so hard to find good help these days! Fifi, come here at once!
And speaking of good help, how do you like the venue I chose? I would like to thank Chez Friz for all their help in getting me ready today. A girl would just be lost without her diamonds and wonderful friends. Don't you agree?
I'm trying to decide if the diamond necklace on my head is too much. What do y'all think. Can a star, I mean humble girl from Texas, ever wear too many rhinestones, I mean diamonds? I know Mother. Put it all on and take one piece off.
I'm pretty sure it is 12:00 somewhere so I think I'll have Jeeves shake me a cold one. Can I have him fix you one as well? No, water with lemon is all you will be having? Suit yourself, but I deserve one! Do not raise that eyebrow at me or I'll have the butler show you to the door.
I would like for all of you to join me in a toast. Please raise your glasses to all the crazy and fun people out there who love to blog. I've said it before and I'll say it again...it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Here's to you, my beautiful friends and thanks for being who you are. You are each unique, wonderful, hilarious, quirky, madcap, silly, beautiful and creative individuals(choose the ones that best describes you) and I'm crazy about you!
I wonder what is keeping Harry? I expected him hours ago. I do so hope his flight wasn't delayed. Well, while we are waiting I'll let y'all know who I am lending Cat Daddy to. The lucky lady who will be Queen For A Day with C.D. as her escort, with the winning bid of a pecan pie no less, will be Laurie of 2 Chippys. No, there was no fix and the necklace had nothing to do with her winning. Pull those claws back in ladies. She came in with the last bid and that is that. No hard feelings. Smile pretty and congratulate her. Just remember next time I decide to auction him off, think BIG!!! He don't come cheap.(I do, but not him!)
Laurie, he will be racing over to pick you up just as soon as I hose him off. I'll be sure to have him cleaned and pressed just for you. There are a few rules as to what you can and CANNOT do with him, but we will discuss those privately.
I think y'all will love this news flash. Helen Louise has decided to have V.J. escort her today instead of Elvis. Isn't that sweet. I will alaways love you Mother and Daddy! I'll be doing a birthday post on the 19th all about my sweet mother, but she said she didn't want that to get in the way of today merrymaking. Today she is the Queen Mother of us all and out to make history!!! Me? I'm all about headlines. Bad publicity is still publicity!
She and I decided to go with petit fours instead of birthday cake today. So much more Ooh La La, don't you think? Please, help yourself. They are, of course, sugar free she said with a slight smirk. I swear up and down, there really are no calories hidden in this photo (although I have been known to gain weight just by breathing sugar), but I digress. Who's in charge of keeping me on track?
Oh wait....I think I hear Harry singing as he's coming up the sidewalk. I better slip my shoes on and get ready to start visiting all the wonderful girls who have joined me today.
Harry darling, you ran all the way from the Big Easy just to see little ol' me? You sweet, sweet man. Leave me a comment girls and I just might let you dance with him. Remember, I said might.
We are heading out the door now and I suggest you do the same, right after you leave me your calling card below. Be sure to drop in on my guests at the right and leave your calling card with them as well. Enjoy the music, food, schmoozing and have a wonderful time. Photo ops will be available later. Thank you for coming. I do love a party!

What!! I'm the first to comment. Am I too early for this lovely party? Well I guess that means I get all the booze and the food and everyone else will just be out of luck? I'm kidding, but I always hated arriving first.
Love your sense of humor and I'm glad you received great bids for your hubby. You sound fab together.
Happy to be part of your party.

So much to say...it's a spectacular event! Personally I think a girl can never have or wear too many diamonds. After all, they are a girl's best friend. The petit four ( I still want to know what this name means?) are perfect and dainty and extravagant. Your dress - to die for darling.

I'll have to take off my shoes eventually, but I promise nothing else will come off. Please make sure your photographer gets a picture of me on the red carpet.

Oh, and one last thing...I didn't know vehicles came in that shade of pink! Wherever did you find it?

I was going to throw down a final bid for CD, but Laurie beat me to it! Oh, well, all I had was a can of ravioli anyway. Guess pecan pie trumps that! Since CD is taken, I'll have to find another date! Hope I can on short notice. Hmmm...y'all don't mind shorter, furry men, do you? I've got an idea...

Thank goodness you posted a pic of the pink car. My tummy was getting a little upset with party jitters but that settled it right down.

My date George and I are drenched in fur, diamonds, and cowboy attire so we're ready for the drinkin', gamblin', and socializin'! Let's party!

Hey Debbie~
Found you through Pam and just wanted to let you know that your post(s) are hilarious and very much enjoyed.

Sounds like a ritzy party...no trash there. But what happens there stays there right????
So if you say so, I'm in...
{I don't want to ruin my pristine vintage reputation!}

I'll be attending under the alias of Jill ~ Harry's wife. You can't mistake me for someone else...you may have seen me in Victoria's Secret once or twice.

I'll be coming in from Louisiana, accent and all and if you're still not sure of who I am, you will certainly HEAR me.

But please until then, save some champagne (& some Harry) for me. okay?

Let's have some fun and thanks for hosting the event of the year!
