Deja Vu All Over Again!

Do any of y'all remember THIS? Well, guess what? Lightening does strike twice, just not on the same side!If you look very carefully, you will see a stick poking out the side of the tire. I'm not funning you...a stick punctured a tire! Just as we were turning into the pasture at Carolyn's, everyone heard a hissing sound and it was us. Seems Cat Daddy got a little over into the ditch and that's when the rubber hit the wood! Carolyn and Joe felt so bad about it, but heck...that's why it's called an accident. It's not like Carolyn had one of the kids poised and ready to stab our tire on command!

We looked just like we did when we came back from Warrenton complete with come-a-long to keep the springs from rubbing! We stopped in Ennis on the way back and got fixed up lickety split, but at this rate, we expect to have new tires all the way around by the time we go to Warrenton for the fall show!
For those of you who didn't get to come out, you were missed! For the record, the score is now Weather-1; Weatherman-0! It did not rain and wasn't quite as cool as promised. We didn't have a 100+ day, but it was a teensy bit warm around 2:00 in the afternoon. Still in all, it was a beautiful day.
We had a great crowd lined up and waiting to come in! Carolyn's children were the "Staff" and did an excellent job of crowd control! Carolyn's family is just the best. They all give 100% support in all her ventures and adventures! Can I get a hip hip hooray for all of them? While I am at it, I would also like to say a special thank you to Carolyn's mother, Charlotte. What a lovely lady! Carolyn credits her with being her inspiration and it's no wonder why. She brought us out iced tea with lemon while we were in the process of setting up. If you're thinking "what's the big deal?", she brought it out in the prettiest glass container with the lemon and fresh mint leaves floating in it! This sweet lady should give lessons in the lost art of graciousness!
We made a huge mistake in giving Cat Daddy the camera to take photos. All he wanted to capture were the ladies! Literally!!! I'm hoping someone else got photographs, 'cause folks, these are it for me!
C. W. herself smiling from start to finish! Carolyn, thanks so much for including me...I had a wonderful time in spite of my new bathtub ring!
Just a little taste of her linens. Someone needed to tell C.D. to focus, focus, focus! David, are you up for a basic photography lesson? I shouldn't fuss too much though. After all, we all know Cat Daddy's talents lie elsewhere! I just wish I had a photo of the bed swing Carolyn made and had hanging from these huge oak trees! It was simply 2die4!
There is just nothing better than an outdoor venue for a summer show. Everything looks so fresh and crisp against a back drop of green grass and blue skies!
I loved this French campaign bed! Isn't the mattress....wait for it....Fab U Lous! Of course it sold, but I really lusted after it. I'm sorry I don't have any photos of the inside of the little house or the cabin. Take all complaints to the manager (psst, that would be Cat Daddy!).
In the interest of fair play, girls, he didn't take any of our space either. Here's the chairs again. I forgot to tell y'all earlier, these are covered in pleather! Not something as ordinary as brocade, no siree bob! C. D. and I believe in only the finest of materials for our merchandise! Wouldn't they be killer painted white? Just think, if you wanted to, you could paint the material as well!
A huge aquarium I took out of my dining area. I bought this a few years ago from Maggie and while I still love it, I am planning on going a different way in that room. What way I still don't know, but when I decide I'll be ready. C.D. is starting to get worried we'll be sitting on plastic tubs before too long and we just might! But once again, I digress...maybe I'm the one who needs to learn to focus!
This header was one of my favorite things and of course it sold right away. In fact, most of what was in this grouping at the beginning was gone at the end!
Kiddies, there is no rhyme or reason to these photos. He just pointed and clicked! It was great getting to see so many of you and I'm sorry I don't have any blackmail photos to use against you, I mean lovely photos of new and old friends!

If you can see anything that interests you, just drop me an e-mail and I'll let you know whether or not it sold.
I'll close now with a fun piece that Lillie just brought into Winnie & Tulula's. You really can't tell, but this Foghorn Leghorn is huge! Talk about a statement piece! This is what I call a real rooster in a henhouse! Oh and before I forget, I'll be letting y'all know more about the upcoming "shower" so stay tuned!

I got pics of the one's you mentioned you didn't. Can't wait to show them, but then again I have like 20 posts ready to go from our trip. Sorry about the tire and maybe it won't happen again for another 10 years, at least!

Love, love, love ALL the "eye candy". I swear, one of these days I'm going to make my son hook a trailer (with no sticks in the tires) to his truck and drive me to Texas to shop! It is fun to look at the pix's though!!

Deb, I don't remember those ice cream stores in our area, we had Retting's Ice cream stores and when I was pg...I would have a banana split and a hot dog.

Look like your adventure..despite the tire, was a great day.

Awww....I have never been to Carolyn's but I looked and Chatfield is only a little over an hour from me. I am sooo excited! I would have come out this weekend but had a busy schedule with family. Maybe next time! Sorry to hear about your flat....bummer!

Okay Debbie, this is the deal. Only between you and me though...don't tell Cat Daddy. I used my psychiatry experience (slept at many Holiday Inn Expresses) and I think Cat Daddy has the hots for the lady in the green capri pants. She's in all three of his gate photos. My thinking is that she thought he was a pervert with the camera and dissed him on her way in, leaving Cat Daddy nothing else to do except take pictures of someone he's comfortable with such as Carolyn. He's still worth keeping though. We don't have proof that he touched her or anything. ;)
Now back to the fun stuff...looks like another great show I missed but I'm getting ready for Warrenton in the fall. Do you know that prom night at Junk Gypsy is on my birthday??? yay girl! Would you be my date?

I'm so glad you made it back safe and sound. I'm surprised you have the strength to type after the busy week you've had. Everything looked wonderful, and remember we have to really PRAISE those Daddy's, especially when they have tires that are bad, otherwise mine acts a little poopy around the edges. Gotta keep those boys happy!
Rest up, Debra

In my neck of the woods, that's called a foursome. I'm cool with that!

Now for those of you who don't know what's in Deb's dirty mind...don't ask & we won't tell!

Debbie,
Everything looked just beautiful! I am sure that it was a long day, and we will hook up in Malakoff or Athens soon enough. Hope you went home with a Purse Full of MONEY...... less the cost of a tire of course... ouch. sorry that happened. Hugs

Hey Debbie Thanks for stopping by & your encouraging words. Looks like the sale was a ball...except of course for the flat...I got a hole in the side of a tire from someone else's tire valve stem that was laying on the very edge of our narrow road...flattened it completely in like 3 seconds! Have a great week, lady *elaine*

Pam @ Frippery said...

I am wishing you a life full of fresh plump tires with NO MORE HOLES! There, that should do it. Looks like the show was lovely and I hope quite successful. Hmmm, Cat Daddy didn't ask you to buy some green capri pants and a pole to dance around did he? Oh sorry, Jodie is such a bad influence...tee hee. Hugs, Pam. PS I don't know anything about crystal so I don't know how old my box of glass ware is, the 4 buck price tag was just too good to pass up!

To bad about the flat. Looks like the show was a lot of fun. I wish I lived closer. Have a great week and get some rest. Sandi

Well, it looks like another killer event...only in Texas. You definitely need some good mojo for your wheels. Perhaps a mechanic 'on call' for Warrenton.
Miss you! xo lulu
