Just Add Water

I'm having to cancel my cocktail party Saturday night. Wouldn't you know it, I got sick!
So I'm thinking, why not have you all over instead. As long as I'm sitting down, I can shake what my momma gave me until the cows go home. In the new tradition of simplicity, dress is optional. Just don't tell me what you are or are not wearing. I like what I'm drinking to go down and stay down and I really can't afford therapy at this time. I'm going to start shaking things up around 9ish so just leave a R.S.V.P. on the comments below telling me your drink of choice(I do serve non-alcoholic drinks as well if you are driving) and I'll have them waiting for you when you arrive. Heck, I may even throw in some noshes, what do you think about that? P.S. Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control(namely getting sick) my trash day will be postponed until after Christmas. Can I get an Oh No!!!?

Sorry you're sick and had to cancel your party! Bummer.

I'll take a Vanilla Coke Zero, please!

I love the silver snowflakes on the canisters and the chandelier. Did you make them? Are they silver pipe cleaners?

Ok,Girl, I have narrowed your sickness down to two possibilities:

1. You were having a party and didn't invite me!

2. Too many hangdowns!

My everyday drink of choice is Crown and coke, but since we are having a special celebration...fix me a Tanqueray Gin martini...no vermouth...three olives. Better fix two...or three!

Your house looks absolutely beautiful! I bet Christmas at your house is one big HOOT! Adopt me!

Cheers! And thanks for inviting me this time!

So sorry to hear you are under the weather!! CD needs to send you to a spa for the day. Since I'm normally the DD I'll take tea with a slice of lemon! But then again that pomegranate sounds pretty tasty!! Maybe just a small one!

Thanks to all of you for your comments. I'd like to answer a few of those:
1. Debra-Exactly what fuzzy party item are we looking for and I'll try to help you find it. Have you already started without me?
2. Renee-I'll be making a run to the virtual liquor store so not to worry.
3. Shannon-I'd love to say I made the snowflakes, but I got them last year at Macy's and yes they are pipecleaners and beads.
4. Pam-NO HANGDOWN. I don't know what Cher might want to do with it. That chair cover is actually a 50's felt vest with a plastic martini glass and olive that I wear at parties. Isn't it a hoot?
5. Malissa-You better start with one and see how it goes. I make 'em stout! CPS won't let me adopt you. Sorry!
6. Ms. T-You and Debra have picked the most festive of drinks. You'll love it!
7. Cher-I'll have your beer waiting but you'll have to provide your own hangdown. We got laws around here.
8. Mindy-My treat. I already have the P.D. eggnog chilling.
9. My little Honey Baked Ham- You haven't missed anything. I've just been posting random shots as I get an area finished.

BTW Debbie, I will be at another Christmas party Saturday night at my buddy Jenn's house(the one I posted) Do you think you could scrounge up a few more cocktails and a hang down if I bring a gaggle of extra girls? Feel better, Pam

Bummer that you had to cxl the festivities. I hope that you are feeling better soon - sucks to be under the weather at holiday time.

I'll take a British Bulldog - Kahlua, Butterscotch liquer, Vodka, and half-and-half. Tastes just like a Heathbar creamsickle. Yummy!!!!

Cheers! Taddie.
