3 Wishes

I've been feeling a little down this season, having a hard time getting into the spirit of things. Long story short (a first)...Graycie is having surgery (I can't spell tonsil-whatever) on the 22nd which means Christmas plans have been altered. Instead of gathering at the Casita de Trash, we'll be spending it at the Oldest Melonhead's. We'll still all be together and that is the main thing, but it's just hard for me to feel motivated to get the house all gussied up....BUT.....When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a party, good gravy, a party my dears! Y'all know how much I love parties and this one sounds like a doozie! Yeah baby...this is the stuff to put the starch back in my crinolines!

Rebecca is hosting herself a big ol' birthday party to end all birthday parties complete with presents! Being the loving, giving lady that she is...the gifts aren't for her, but for y'all and just wait until you get a load of the gifts...OH MYLANTA!

(All photos courtesy of A RE-purposed Life.)
Up on the rooftop high heels click...onto your mantel super quick!

Rebecca is giving away this precious house as one of the gifts for attending her party. Her rules are so simple...even I can't get distracted! (How's that for a Christmas miracle?) Just click here for all the details.

Rebecca...I hope you realize the most beautiful gift of all is you and the friendship you so richly share.
I'll be rockin' round this Christmas tree December 18th...care to join me?

If you've never been over to Rebecca's blog before (and just who am I kidding?)...you are in for a treat for the eyes and heart. She is one of the most beautiful and caring individuals one would ever hope to meet and meet her I did last spring at Zapp. There aren't enough adjectives to describe her, but remember me saying "there are angels among us"? She IS the queen mother of heaven on earth and it's only fittin' that her birthday be in December. She represents all that we should strive for as believers. Angelic...that should be her middle name.

To prove my point...as a third gift, she'll be giving away one of her beautiful angel tree toppers. By doing so, she's not only giving away a piece of art...but also a piece of her heart. Bring on the jingle bells and birthday cake!

This is going to be the bestest birthday party EVER!

You sure have a talent for writing with flair!
I don't really care about all the decorations and fluff, don't get me wrong, I like sparkle and glitz but I like that all year long.
For the exception of this year my stuff is usually out quite late in the season. The blog, of course made me did around for my christmas crap.

Last year, I think I put up the tree only 4 or 5 days before christmas....and the year before took it all down on boxing day! Can't do that any more.....I got in heck from the family!

The commercialism just gets me....and sometimes I just think it all is an exercise of futility....although if you see my blog...you might get a different impression....oh well.

I like your post.

Miss Graycie is going to be so much better after her surgery! And the best part is that she will have you there to pamper her. First of all, she needs you to bring her some super cute new jammies from Justice so she can be stylin' while recovering! I bet you can come up with some delicious holiday milk shakes for Ms. Graycie. Peppermint shake? Eggnog shake? Sugar cookie shake? Do you remember that Madisyn had her tonsils out at the exact same time last year? When she was in recovery, they put reindeer antlers on her head. So, of course, Graycie is going to need some reindeer antlers or maybe a crown! Take a camera because we will want to see your precious girl all dolled up! Beautiful Ms. Graycie will be just fine. We will be saying prayers for her!

I haven't done any Christmas decorations this year. I must shake off this mood I am in and get them done. Not sure we will get to see our grandkids this Christmas. I'm in a funk. You are so blessed to be able to be with all of your family!

I'm heading over to Rebecca's to check out her blog. Thanks for the heads up!

Please know we'll be praying all goes well for Ms. Gracie. Our Christmas will be celebrated on a different date and well I'm like you, just can't get motivated to decorate the inside. The outside is done, so I understand your dilema, but you are right as long as y'all are together that's all that matters. And isn't that Rebecca the sweetest, inside and out, and beautiful too!

Hi Debbie! I was just over at Rebecca's blog and saw her birthday bash details!! She's so very talented!

Blessings for sweet Graycie during her surgery...it's a good excuse for some extra ice cream, right?! I'm sure a little Christmas cheer around the house would perk up both of your spirits a bit...

Big hugs ~
