All That Glitters Is Not Gold

For those unfamiliar with this dynamic duo, I'd like to introduce you to Marcie and Mayron of Unique Unique Design. I have their web page as a link on my sidebar, but now, Marcie has added a blog to their resume. http://blog.uniqueuniquedesign.com/ They are both talented ladies, each in her own unique way(Hey, maybe that's why unique is used twice in their business name). They work extremely hard at what they do and oh, what they do. Twice yearly, sometimes more, they hold a home show at Marcie's. Everything, and I do mean everything, is for sale except her bed, her couch and her husband. When a show is over, nothing is left except dust and fond memories of what once was. The displays are over the top and they'll go to the top, swinging from the ceilings if that is what is called for to reach perfection. They use a lot of industrial pieces(which is hot, hot, hot in our area) in new ways, but put their own spin on it by mixing in rust, gold and silver. The rust is gritty, the gold crusty and the silver decadent. Now how do we describe this in 3 words, kiddies? Fab U Lous!
Some of you may recognize these two and their work from Fayetteville. The Possibilities Show was their dream baby held in conjunction with Warrenton and Round Top. It was a must see destination, but armed with determination, imagination and talent (and a loyal following) they decided to pioneer the home venue in Dallas. This has turned into a much anticipated show, bigger than even this two could have dreamed.
I for one am looking forward to sneak peeks into their future shows and design projects. (All photos courtesy of Unique Unique Design)

I had the opportunity to not only set up with them outside, but to see their awesome displays in person!! I so wish they'd come back to Warrenton and do another show.
