Black Friday...Junker Style

I know, I know...y'all are wondering why the heck am I putting up Christmas photos...Halloween was just this past weekend! Well, put that eyebrow down and wonder no more...I'll tell you....just keep your britches on!

I've come to the conclusion time is like gas tanks in our cars. You know what I mean? We start out with a full tank and it seems to go so-o-o slowly until it hits that half-full mark...then it's whoa Nelly...seemingly to spill out onto the street, going to empty in a heartbeat!

That's how I feel about life, time and Christmas. The older I get the faster it goes! Which in my own roundabout way leads me to this.......
I KNOW! It just hit me...there are only 3 weeks to get ready for the newest, shiniest, biggest Christmas event ever! Gloria, Charrise and all the vendors are getting ready to give y'all an early Christmas present at Winnie and Tulula's. We are going to have a Christmas Open House the weekend after Thanksgiving and I promise you up and down...it will be like no other open house you'll be attending!

The stores will be closed the week preceding November 27th to create some holiday magic with the big reveal on the 27th at 4:00 p.m. Did I mention p.j.s? Everyone is running amuck gathering and creating one of a kind treasures to create sparkle sparkle galore! It promises to be something unique, the likes of which have never been seen before by human eyes. Don't come expecting soft Perry Como music and cookies. No sireebob...not for our group of elfettes! Gloria is having a deejay, food guaranteed to put 10 pounds on you, door prizes, and enough glitzy junk to send you running to find your shades. Remember, this isn't your mother's antique mall...it will be over the top...rooftop that is! Hark...do I hear reindeer?
Not to worry...you'll have plenty of time to go to the early bird specials at Walmart and Macy's before coming to W&T's. Look at that as just OTJ training for our store. Now keep in mind, we don't want to be on the 6 o' clock news with clips of stampeding women...so no snatching and grabbing, please! Although, I swear up and down...you're gonna want to snatch and grab! Did I mention local Texas wine?
So instead of hanging around the house eating leftover turkey sandwiches...start making plans to attend....now! I'll be letting y'all in on more details each week leading up to our personal twist on Black Friday...so stay tuned! Did I mention eggnog bar?
I gotta tell you though...I am so excited about what Cat Daddy and I have planned for our space!

Gotta run now...something glittery just caught my eye!!!

You sure painted a fabulous Christmas Party Picture with that description. I felt like I was there! I know it will be wonderful! If that red Mrs. Claus number is what you're wearing then wo-hoo! Make sure there are lots of pictures for the rest of us who unfortunately don't live in the BIG T!
hugs for ya,
Debra

Oh Boy!! I bet Black Friday will never be the same again!!! Sounds like a fabulous open house, but I must stay put---expecting a new baby grandson about that time!! (BTW-- Thank you so much for your nice and encouraging comments!! Getting copied just goes with the biz--someone already copied my blog/business name!)

Yep, we are knee deep in. . . let's just say "the holidays". I'm trying to get a jump on things as well. We've got a big holiday sale this week-end with all of Old Towne Orange, then next week Rachel Ashwell's book signing and you know the rest. I did however, have some photo Christmas cards made and now I just need to do "the rest" of the addressing, notes, etc for them! Enjoyed the photos today, thanks!

Darn! Why is Texas so very far away??? Maybe Amy (Junkology) and I should hop on a plan and visit you? Sounds like it is going to be one heck of a time! Wishing you the best!

This is my first Real holiday in the retail business. I've always done well on-line but I can't wait to actually have a place to fix up. Can't wait. Can I borrow your post, and put it on my blog? I think you've hit the nail on the head describing what it will be at WT. OH and just so you don't get a big head, "cock, load and shoot"---------> ;)
Great post.

Deb, Whatever you do, I know it will be wonderful. Will try to make it up there, Sharon and I met you at Laurie Anna's ....not sure if you remember, but Sharon's husband died suddenly two weeks ago and so we are not going around like we usually do.

If we miss it, hope you have a great one.
