Summer Bummer Part II

Well, I just found out there won't be a Buchanan's Antique Show in Dallas during the month of August, so scratch my previous comments about taking my smaller stuff there to sell. It's a good thing I buy what I like as I may be the proud new owner of a lot of pretties! But what's a girl to do? Later-Debbie

Summer Bummer

I am not a happy camper. Due to Cat Daddy's "real job"(you know, the one that actually pays the bills) we are not going to be able to set up at ZappHall in the fall. I am not real happy about this turn of events since we have been buying heavy since the Spring Show and have quite a stockpile. I'm now trying to figure the best way to market what we have. I had thought about a home sale in Aug., but it's so darn hot! I might take my fluff stuff to Buchanan's in August and shoot for a home sale in Sept. In the meantime, if anyone is interested, I could post pix of what we have bought and would like to sell. Any dealers out there looking for Warrenton mdse? Let me know if any of this is of interest or if maybe a private showing would interest anyone. Later-Debbie

Summer Market

Cat Daddy and I went to Carolyn Westbrook's Summer Market" preview Friday evening. She did a fantastic presentation under the trees. When we arrived, she and Joe(her hubby) were busy as bees schmoozing and selling, as were Linda and Ludmil, but they grabbed a moment to grab us. You see, here in Texas(and in the south) it doesn't matter if you just saw someone 30 minutes earlier at the DQ, you still have to hug as if it's been ages. It's just the way we hang. But, I digress. Carolyn's signature style inside is poetry, but placed outdoors it becomes magical and dreamy. Her bed linens are among my top favorite things. Carolyn doesn't spot a trend, she starts one. While waiting for the crowd to thin out, I got a chance to sit on the porch and chat it up with old friends Heidi(Cloverleaf Boutique-Ardmore) and Portia(Garden Party-Dallas) and new friends Amy(Funky Monkey-Keller). All of these ladies have a unique spin and their shops are a must see. Linda and Ludmil's area of the garden was equally lovely. Linda really does practice what she preaches. It was beautifully displayed down to the last detail. Even though it was about a 100 degrees, she didn't allow her candles or herself to droop. She was looking cool and crisp as if it was 75 degrees. well, I'll wrap this up with a Happy Anniversary to T and hope you like the pix. Later-Debbie

THANKS

Well, since I don't know how to respond to comments directly(I told y'all I am not the smartest chick on the bus) I wanted to send out a big ol' Texas thank you to all who have allowed me to join the sisterhood of blogging(especially T, who we all love). I'm hoping to make my space prettier, but right now, it is just so darn hard for me to post and upload pix. Understand, before undertaking this, the only thing I was proficient on the computer doing was playing solitaire and looking at everyone else's beautiful blogs. But, I am really feeling jazzed now to learn more and get better. Later-Debbie
